TASTEE NEWS: Bithell Farms, Valentines and Falcon news February 7, 2009

Hi Everyone,

Did you all have a nice weekend? Monday comes quickly doesn't it? I've got each paragraph labeled for easy reading.
CO-OP STYLE BUYING: Have I thanked you all yet for being so receptive to purchasing co-op style while we work tirelessly to get our cash flow back up? You guys are all so wonderful and understanding. We intend to continue with this style of buying as we will be offering a fish/salmon sale, a bulk nuts and seeds sale, the fruit which we already have been offering, etc. If any of you have any other ideas for bulk buying, please give me those ideas. I'll be offering a "meat bundle" sale again soon. This next time we'll allow you to put together a mixture of beef, pork and chicken. I'd love to offer buffalo too but I'm afraid my variety might be a bit limited yet until we get our shelves fully stocked with this again. But maybe if the response is great to this meat bundle, maybe we can get the buffalo we need, so we'll see about that. Our goal is to always offer the best prices for the basic grocery needs of our families. That's how we started and that's how we continue to do business.

BUFFALO: For those that have preordered buffalo, it should be available either Friday or Saturday of this week. I'll send a very short note to let you know when it arrives.

HONEY: If you haven't come in yet for your preordered honey, it's at the store. Come in soon to pickup. Thanks.

CAJUN MEALS: We have some wonderful Cajun foods in the store. We change the variety up each week. Right now we have gumbo and by Thursday we'll have red beans and rice. If you haven't tried either of these dishes yet, you'll have to come in for a sample. This is becoming quite a favorite variety in the store.

POPCORN and GRANOLA BAR: Have you noticed our new organic popcorn yet? It's buttered and salted just right! Okay, I admit, I could make a meal on popcorn but it's quite a lovely snack. It makes a nice new addition to the store. As far as the new granola bar; it's really a very excellent energy bar. I'm so glad that you guys are loving this new bar. With all the healthy ingredients, it's an amazing snack to keep in the freezer so it's always on hand. We'll try to keep up with the demand because you guys are just buying them up left and right. I'm glad we've got these new items in the store that everyone is enjoying.

FALCON SPECIAL: This Saturday our son Joseph, our chef, was in the Falcon store grilling up chicken for sampling. He's going to be doing the same this coming Saturday. Be sure to come in and meet him and taste the special touch he adds to our chicken. If you haven't tried this item yet, this is a perfect opportunity. Did you know that we go through about 1000 pounds of chicken every week? Yup, it's still the best seller in the store. It's what got me started 12 years ago and it's still the top seller. I haven't been called the "chicken lady" recently but I've heard it plenty of times over the last 12 years. Once you taste the chicken, you'll not be able to purchase any other. I hear it hundreds of times that there is nothing else out there that compares to the taste and tenderness of the chicken. When you come in to taste the chicken, we will be offering a sale price of $3.19 per lb. for the first 5 lbs. purchased. This is while supplies last and a limited time offer.

MONUMENT SPECIAL: Okay, don't feel left out now. So far Joseph hasn't planned on coming to the Monument store since we go through a boatload of chicken in this store, however; please be watching your mailbox for a coupon which Monument Marketplace put out giving the same sale price on the first 5 lbs. of chicken purchased at $3.19 a pound. This price is only honored with the coupon you'll receive in the mail. This should be going to most of the Tri Lakes area.

VALENTINES DAY: You can go online to www.tasteoflifestores.com and order a special Valentines dinner. We also have chocolate dipped candies available. Have you tried ours before? Our peppermint patties are known throughout Monument as a very popular item. We also have chocolate truffles and raspberry truffles. I'll try to get some chocolate suckers made again too. Yup, chocolate overload, but it's that time of year. It's the time that we can justify eating chocolate! You go girl!

STRAWBERRY AND CHOCOLATE TARTS: Speaking of chocolate. Did you guys try the chocolate tart that our French friend Blandine brought in? Okay, chocolate fix! It soothes any need you may have! Well almost. The chocolate mousse was amazing! You can place an order just in time for Valentine's Day. Come into the store by Wednesday, either Falcon or Monument, and place your order.

BITHELL FARMS FRUIT AND SEAFOOD: Remember to order online for these items. The deadline to order is February 24th, which is the date we need prepayment also. The delivery will happen sometime mid March to early April. The next delivery of these items would be approx. August.

ONE MEAL DEAL: We have a plethora of 12 oz. frozen white chicken chili. Would you help us clear out our freezer? If you buy 2, you get 1 free, while supplies last. Oh yea, we'll continue having frozen chicken broccoli on sale until our supplies are down. You guys snapped up all the vegetarian lasagnas so that's no longer on sale.
Okay, was that enough information? I'm emptied out and you're probably tired of reading. Come see us soon. We appreciate you telling your friends about our little store. Where would we be without our wonderful customers? We love you all.
